My 2, nearly 3 YO will happily let me cut his fingernails with no problems. Soon as I go near his feet he kicks and screams before I even touch his feet. I've tried bribery, distraction, songs and games. I even have tried while he's asleep but he either wakes up or keeps kicking in his sleep. Any ideas what I can do other than pin him down? I don't want him to be scared so don't want to force it.

My nearly three year old is the same. Nightmare weirdly he let's my Dad do it. Actually puts them up on his lap for it. Could you get someone else to have a go? Weird I know but that's what I have to do. Kids are contrary wee things.

I do all my kids nails when they are asleep! Grin. Well apart from dd1 who is 6 and will now tolerate it :)

You have to get the right stage of sleep though - try flopping an arm. If it flips like a dead weight and they don't blink you are good to go.

I remember this from when I was a child - it was tickly feet I had an issue with. Was better wearing sandals or thick socks with the toes cut off

I've managed to do like a toe every 5 min while he slept 😂 he won't let anyone near when he realises what your doing. I'll keep trying the little piggy goes to market song and hopefully he will warm to it
