I have lost 21/2 stone with Slimming World and found it really easy as I enjoy my food and I can eat so much-it's not a diet, it's healthy eating, so it's good for the whole family- no cooking seperate meals. If anyone wants to contact me regarding classes in North London my e-mail address is;[email protected]

I am useless at sticking at diets. I put on 3 1/2 stone while pregnant and over 2 years after I gave birth I was still over a stone more than before I had my daughter. I did the slimming world diet where you can't mix protein and carbohydrates on the same day I have lost 18lbs. It really was easy to follow and when I come back from my holiday I will be starting it again to get rid of any excess holiday weight!

I am a lard ar*e and I am first to admit it! I now go up the gym with a trainer to try to firm up the lard twice a week! I am thinking of trying Slimming World - I have got as far as tearing the ad. out of the paper, now as long as I don't eat it, I just might get there!

my friends & i are always re-starting a liver cleansing diet - there's a web site somewhere - it may not appeal but its basically vegan with no hydrogenated veg. oil + plenty of water. it does make you feel really fantastic tho' - i couldn't stand the food fascism of a slimming club - having said that i've got a lot to lose (probably at least 3 stone). i had a boyfriend once who was very abusive - however on this subject he once said 'take the weight off your shoulders first' which is the nicest thing he ever said. still, i'm on the verge of giving up cheese as i desperately need to do something soon. good luck to everyone....

G & R - for recent postings on this sort of stuff look under Food - Post Natal Weight Loss. Gumsy, know what you are saying about food fascism - but you might want to check out Slimming World. If you just ignore the happy clappy aspect and follow the basic tenents the weight does come off - I'm near to having lost 3 stone in ten months. Frankly it's worth just joining up for the booklet, then just follow it from home if you can't stand the "let's share what sort of week we've had" side to it all. (I'm quite tempted to respond "fxxxxxx awful" at times - but don't know quite how it would go down).
