Thank you ❤

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/10/2017 11:39

Glad your headache is better Madame.

I'm on my way to Stockholm for fika BrewCake

ApricotCrush · 08/10/2017 11:52

Morning all!

Happy Birthday Badders. Have a great day. Cake Flowers

Gorgeous shoes LetUs. I can't wear them that high now, I think my centre of gravity has moved. Hmm

Jonnie looked amazing, but I don't think he was as good as the judges said. I thought his movements were a bit stiff , but with the leg and all he was brilliant. Will go and watch again. Grin

I can't get my head around how well he moves in comparison with Strike, who has enormous difficulty with his prosthesis. I know that Strike is fiction, but a lot of research was put into it. Perhaps the position on the leg is different. Also Strike isn't in such good condition physically as Jonnie. Confused

Pleased headache has gone Madame.

Enjoy your fika WW.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/10/2017 13:44

Well, the books say that Strike could do with losing weight, and neglects his stump somewhat, so that would probably account for most of it... JKR said something about it on twitter - hold on a mo.....

Here you go...

I'm not sure what Madame is doing today, but charlie seem to be enjoying himself up there...

Swagger Inn 150: The one where the wenches do Strike (analysis) and that Santi Salvation thing.
FancyFancy · 08/10/2017 15:46

I agree apricot he does look a little stiff (nlt), also manages to look a bit petrified much of the time too Grin - although the arse makes up for much of that Wink

If it's not too gruesome question to ask - is Strike an above or below the knee amputee? From my limited knowledge of Para athletics I think it makes a difference - Jonnie is below the knee.

ApricotCrush · 08/10/2017 16:15

at JKR.

Strike's is about 4 inches below the knee Fancy, there is a screencap which they did with CGI but it is a bit gruesome.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/10/2017 16:21

It might be what's required for the dance, but Jonnie looked like he was in a muscle bound/Action Man pose with his arms for a lot of it Grin

LetUsPrey · 08/10/2017 16:39

Hope Badderz is having a fabulous birthday. You deserve it!

Hope Wicked is feeling thoroughly fika’d Grin

Loving the JP/Strike movement comparisons! Hadn’t really thought about it but it’s very interesting. I was just watching Jonnie’s —hair and backside— dancing.

I have ironing to put away. Can’t be arsed really. I need motivation.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/10/2017 17:16

LetUs - You List is in the airing cupboard - you need to fold up the ironing nicely and put it away properly to make room for you as well though....
Some of your list have already started using the clean laundry Shock get in there and stop them!!!

Grin
LetUsPrey · 08/10/2017 17:21

Helen you’re amazing Grin

MadamedeChevreuse · 08/10/2017 17:32

letus love those shoes, sadly I also cant and never have been able to wear heels like that. Thanks for tactfully cropping me out of that charlie shot too.

Hope bads has eaten her body weight in cake and everyone else has had good days.

Enjoying the strike/JP analysis including from JKR Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/10/2017 18:00

I'mdo impressed that you can walk in those heels Letus Confused

Back from fika, quite exhausted, bit of a travel and it was raining heavily on the drive home. Cooking dinner now.

LetUsPrey · 08/10/2017 18:08

You’re welcome Madame. Thought it was important to preserve your —anonymity— modesty Grin

Driving in heavy rain can be very tiring Wicked. Still, home now for snuggles with the cats.

I might not actually be able to walk in those shoes, but I shall order them and see

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/10/2017 18:19

Boo Sad for weather; hurrah Smile for Fika ; (more) Cake for Badders Grin

LetUsPrey · 08/10/2017 18:29
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/10/2017 18:30

You don't need to walk LetUs - you just need to perch on a bar stool, or recline on a chase and let the HBFs admire your feet. They can work their way up Wink
Channel your inner Diana Dorrs...

LetUsPrey · 08/10/2017 19:11

I’ve just been pondering your suggestion Helen. The rest of my brain has melted Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/10/2017 19:56

Midsumer murders and a cuppa, perfect way to spend a Sunday Evening Smile

LetUsPrey · 08/10/2017 19:59

You’re not wrong Wicked.

Have just finished Strictly results, bit more ironing to do, get stuff ready for tomorrow, then relax with some tv.

Badders08 · 08/10/2017 20:08

TEAM TOM KLAXON

The brunchers is on Amazon prime video...

Go go GO.............

LetUsPrey · 08/10/2017 20:18

I have IMDBed. Rufus Sewell also. I shall add that to the watch list!

Badders08 · 08/10/2017 20:23

Oh letus
The scarf
The scarf!!!!....
this could be the new blue cardi of lust

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/10/2017 20:25

Brunchers is a lovely short - always makes me laugh. Except I haven't been able to watch it since it was moved from a free site to blood Amazon Prime. Rufus Sewell is only in it for a matter of minutes (five, maybe, at the end.)

ApricotCrush · 08/10/2017 20:34

God Bads you scared me with that Tom klaxon. Thought I'd missed something.

The Brunchers is on Daily Motion for those who want to see it and can't. Smile She annoys the crap out of me.

Off to watch Strictly results.

Have a good evening everyone.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/10/2017 20:44

Oh Apricot - you star Star Grin
