Will most shops be open tomorrow or not?

Is good friday a holiday for most people, like a bank holiday? Will most shops in town be open or not? Will bus timetables be affected do you think?

I really can't remember from last year, or all the previous years what happens on good friday

Local co op is open every day except easter sunday.

I would like to know when sainsburys will be open until. Anyone know? I have been living in a bit of a box lately (nursing convalescent child) and it had not really registered with me that tomorrow was a Bank Holiday. I always do my weekly shop on Fridays and i really need to get some food in tomorrow but also have to wait for dh to come home or take 4 children with me - would rather wait until dh is home if that is at all possible.

I just looked at Sainsbury's website and the one near us is open normal hours tomorrow.
