I'm 35 and a bit concerned my periods are quite short. Lasting 3 days the 3rd day being incredibly light. Was on the combined pill for years then when had babies switched to mini pill. I stopped mini pill about 4/5 months ago don't know if it's relevant. Any thoughts?

Mine normally only last two or three days max. I have never been that worried. I just take it as a blessing. They have definately got shorter the older I have got. I am 38.

Have you lost weight recently? What's your BMI?

justdontevenfuckingstart · 19/09/2017 21:39

I was amazed when I found that everyone's weren't 7 days. We are all different.

ChocoholicsAnonymous · 19/09/2017 21:40

I honestly don;t give it a second thought. I think as a pp said everyone is just different. I don't think I could cope with any longer!

I'm 5ft 4 and weigh about 10stone. So not underweight.

Any physical symptoms? e.g. Tiredness, hair loss, low stamina for physical activity?

ChocoholicsAnonymous · 20/09/2017 06:49

Highinthesky yes to tiredness and low stamina

I'd recommend you see your GP to have some bloods done, just to rule out anything serious.

Although on its own, shortened menses is not a cause for concern, it's a normal part of the aging process.
