I'd really appreciate any advice people could give me on moving to the area and in particular what living in Crook is like. We're currently selling our house and have definitely decided to move to the North East. We've recently been up for the weekend and viewed lots of properties in various areas, which has helped us hone our ideas a little, but the property we're really stuck on is a lovely new build house right in the north west of edge of Crook. I've scoured mumsnet for advice and have a great big list of nice places to live but I haven't found much about Crook.
Our family consists of me and the hubby, both of whom work at home and, to be honest, don't get out much apart from walking the dog and food shopping, and our two kids aged 8 and 10 who like sports. We're really hoping to be somewhere quiet and near the countryside and don't mind where we are too much as long as it's relatively safe and green. Any advice would be really appreciated.
