Help!!!!!! Replacement toy needed - dd's favourite friend is falling apart.

My dd has had a special toy since she was 6 months old. She is now nearly five and shows no sign of dropping it - she needs to take it whenever she goes somewhere new and whenever she goes to sleep. It is a cream and brown spotty dog made by the Manhattan Toy Company. It is about six inches long and plush but not furry. The body is cream with brown ears and there are brown spots over one eye, on the leg and body. It has a tartany ribbon round the neck. Her dog (called Puppy - we're not imaginative in this house!) is now falling apart due to too much love. There are holes appearing at the seams and the material is so worn that my attempts to repair it are making it worse.

Does anyone have the same dog that their child doesn't want? Ours was bought at a Daisy and Tom store in London but I know that Trotters also stocked it and some more boutiquey gift places in Chiswick. I think it was pretty widely available at the time, though. I even saw one in a store in Australia but didn't buy a spare!!!!!!!! Please, please, please can someone help me track down another dog? Any help greatly appreciated.

Manhattan Toy Co have a nice website, fabarooney - here - the opening page says "when we create a toy, we know that it could become a lifelong friend. So we take the time to build in exceptional quality and play value."

There is a contact us link, maybe if you email them with your plight they can help!

Thanks Janh, but I've already found out that they have stopped making this particular toy. I have emailed them to see if they have any suggestions for finding one. I guess I'm really asking for people to rumage through the many soft toys that get sent when you have a baby and are never played with to see if they have one of these that they and their child would consider selling to me. Please help!

How about here

Only thing is the seller is in the US, so not sure how much postage would be. I think he may be a bit bigger too and comes with a friend!

If that's the right thing and you want to buy it and they won't send it overseas, you could get it sent to my parents who will be coming over to the uk from the usa in mid sept. Just let me know if end up needing to do this.
