..about their ridiculous penchant for pink and blue toys?

What's wrong with a green/red/orange/yellow sandpit?

It's not like you're going to buy one for your DD and one for your DS, are you? (And if you do, you're a touch mental, so go and rub your favourite ornaments and get off my thread).

I mean, they've got a pink and a blue wheelbarrow and barbecue, ffs.

LL, it's great - just don't fill it with sand one side, water the other, or you'll have both sides fullk of soggy sand very soon! Sand or water!

Yeah, they had that in the illustration and DH immediately said "so you get wet sand, then?"

We have already nicked the boat and pouring things and had them in the bath this evening!

He's had several presents early and is a very happy boy. My mum got him a Wheelybug ("Nigel") which he is too short to ride so he drags it around and throws it at things!

Yes, the pic on the box was taken VERY quickly, before the children started playing with it at all, I think

Sounds like he'll have a fun birthday! Thanks for the birthday thread for DS1 - loved the candles!

I am going to buy the ELC sandpit for DS and DD, on the recommendation of this thread .

In blue rather than scary pink .

And can I point out that accountants do not necessarily wear brown shoes. And they do not even have a pair .

LucyJones · 04/04/2007 21:40

can someone like to the fabulous sandpit pretty please?

LucyJones · 04/04/2007 21:43

this one Does it come with any sand?

IdrisTheDragon · 04/04/2007 21:43

It is here .

IdrisTheDragon · 04/04/2007 21:44

I don't think it does but you can get sand for something like £1.97 in Tesco I think.
They probably have it in ELC as well I should imagine.

LucyJones · 04/04/2007 21:45

thanks

hewlettsdaughter · 04/04/2007 21:46

I have to say, the pink/blue thing really annoys me tbh. I want to buy dd a little lucy/luke from elc - would rather get one dressed in yellow or something rather than pink or blue.

tinkerbellhadpiles · 04/04/2007 21:48

Don't all baby/toy shops do this though? Everything I get from ELC seems to be orange. Maybe my branch is different?

lionheart · 04/04/2007 23:56

If you just wait until they send out the vouchers to the competition winners, HM, that would be lovely.

It must be market driven, as Spidermama says, mustn't it?

jamiesamfreddie · 04/04/2007 23:59

B & Q did a lovely wooden sandpit last year - I think it looks nice in our garden so not gender or age specific?!
