Hi.i just got a letter that im 1 of 3 to be nominated for a proparty for my family.and i have an interwiev on monday.what will be asked ? And what are my chanses to get the house? Thanks.
Im just so exsited to finaly have some good news for my 2 kids.but im afraid i will not get it.

Its hard to not get exated about the house.i havent seen it.but i just what place to raise my kids.its like in letter from them you have been offered a house but there are 2 other familys as well for that house.your a winner but your not at the same time.

I don't know if your area is the same but in my area the top three people who bid are offered the house and then the person who has the most points gets it unless they say no, then the second person gets it, if they say no then the third person gets it.
The fact you've been offered this house means you're at the top of the list so if you're not offered this home you will get one very soon anyway 😊 I really hope it's good news for you op!

Thanks.i hope so too that i will get something.in my place they over a house they think is good for you.you dont bid on any of the home they do.and how high you are in housing band or housing assotiation in that place you are on the list.so just got letter saying-you are 1of 3 people that have been ofered this house.now we will interwiev you and other 2 familys and will come back to you with news if you got it or no.so at this point im just curios what will happen and how will they know wich family needs it most.

That sounds very different (and a bit barbaric, how can you tell who's need is greatest ) are you in a higher priority band maybe? In our area if you're homeless or in very high need they don't let you bid!
Maybe you could give whoever is sorting the housing out a call and ask them? When I was going through similar I emailed a lady who was very helpful

Yes am band A with council and an emergensy band with housing asotiation.its true it is barbaric.i have been crying and praying and stresing and praying that the lady that comes likes me...i called as soon as i got the letter and read it.but she just said that there are 3 familys in line for this house we will have a talk with all of them and then contact you when desition is made.its just strange to me.how can they know who is in bigger need just from talking.

Hi.i had interview.lady was really nice.ask all sort of quastions.about payments in and out.and said that in the house we could need to put floors and carpets and cooker in and some more things.its a bit upseting just becouse we dont have that money.but hey at least we will have a house to live in.she said they need to contact my lanlord and agency im from now.and if refereces from them comes back good then in first week of october we could be able to go and see the house and if we like it and everything comes back ok.we can move in mid ir end of october.hey.hey.hey.now its just a waiting game for all the documents and references to come back at them and if they aprove.

I wonder if there are any grants to help you buy carpets and a cooker? If not have a look on freecycle and things like that. Sounds amazing!

I believe nominations normally trump all the bands. It's a special procedure for emergency categories.

They said all the work that needs dooing. would be from are money.we need to find money to do it until winter.will look in to freecycle for sure.thanks

In my town we have some kind of Christian aid place that helps those in need with things like furniture. They have a big warehouse type place, you go and chose what you want and they deliver for a small fee. Am not sure if you have to make a donation too but it would be nominal.

Also join as many of the fb selling sites as you can. On my local ones there is always someone offering stuff free or for a small charge.

The only thing that will be expensive will be a cooker as you would have to pay to have it installed. If you could put aside a bit each week between now and october you might have enough for a cheap and cheerfull one from argos or something.

Thanks.we are puting money away for cooker and things like that.it will take us some time to do that but its ok.the lady emailed me asked for some more paperwork and bank statments.that she emailed me that she has contacted my landlord and council for references and she will be touch with me when she has everything.its been a week and no news so far... im just woried now that maybe wont get the house anymore. : ( can they change there mind?

How is it all going op?

So far no news at all from them.its been more than a week since they last contaced me.so i dont know what to think.

I wouldn't worry yet. They've said you can have it and I don't think they would go back on that now! Sometimes it does just take a while for them to sort everything

It just hard to not know your future.i have always been independent with everything.kids,house,bills everything.and for first time in my life i need to be depending me and kids on somebody its so stresfull anf exosting.

And also i find out that its a housing association nomination that i got for the house not council.i dont know if that makes any difference.

I believe (I may be wrong) that councils don't rent out houses anymore they're all done by housing associations but it's basically the same thing as an old fashioned council house

It varies by area Never. Some still have large council housing stock.

Update.tomarrow we will be looking at the property.we where 1st on line for it.the lady said it is very small house have a tiny garden in the back.2 singles and 1 double room.and sait it has a wet room.have no idea what that is.and they sait they dont know in what condition it is.its about 45 min walk to school and nursery and nearest food shop.but i dont care about all of that. Im happy anyway that i will have somewhere for my kids to sleep.she also said that they will give us some coupons for decorating it.what thas that meen?
