Whatever anyone tells you, run a mile if someone mentions network marketing or mlm.

I don't have kids yet but will be a mother early next year. I'll stay in my office job when I return to work and will work 4 or 5 days, maybe one day at home. Not sure yet. My husband will do similar but his day off will be a different day.

The child will go to nursery 3 days per week but my husband and I will alternate early work for finishes (4:30 to be at the nursery at 5:30).

I am not one, but I always thought being a teaching assistant would be the perfect job to fit around family. School hols off and finish at 4.30 each day.

I'm happy to be corrected by somebody who actually works as one though.

The pay is horrific, you are often working with the most difficult or vulnerable children in the class, you are expected to actually take whole lessons in some cases and plan them (although a qualified teacher should be checking the planning over at least)....

People do enjoy it but I doubt they would describe it as the perfect job!

I have been at the same job for 14 years so when on mat leave I reduced to 3 days. Now with dc1 at school I work 10-6 on Monday 9-5 tues/Wednesday.

I'm a pa/ admin for a charity

Sevendaysinaweek · 04/09/2017 20:56

Have kept my office job, but with a jobshare partner. Three days a week I work 9-5, the other two I am really free, no need to check emails as someone else is doing my job. I love it!

wheredoesallthetimego · 04/09/2017 20:58

I'm a qualified professional and I do that job one day a week and write articles/CPD about it from home the rest of the time.
