How do I pull up and delete the History from my pc. I accidentally clicked somewhere on the left of my screen and up came a drop down History menu. I've never seen it before and now I can't bring it up again.

if you go to tools - then options - you can delete history, temporary internet files etc...

On our desktop, we access the History by clicking on the star icon (favourites centre) and then selecting history from the buttons at the top of the box. To delete it though, have to select Internet Options from the Tools menu, on the General Tab there is a button to delete browsing history.

I see it now but the 'clear history' button is deactivated.

History on my toolbar is a blue circle with a green arrow - I delete items in it by selecting them and right clicking - this brings up a drop down list of collapse & delete.
