HELP......bubble gum all over ds2 face

how on earth do I get it off?

ds2 just blew extra big bubble and it has popped and is now stuck all over his cheeks, chin and nose.
I have pulled the big pieces off and have been attacking it with a damp cloth, but nothing much is coming off it's just spreading it around and his face is just getting redder!

Any suggestions please.

stick him in the freezer

actually I think maybe sticking an ice cube on to it might do the same job but sticking him in the freezer is more amusing

Moisturiser? or maybe splash his face with cold water (like Twiglett's idea, but less cruel! )

I have used a green scourer and soap
but still loads of bits were left.
ds2 is now pressing celotape onto his face and pulling it off, a bit like waxing and that seems to be doing the trick.

This is just typical, bl**dy gum... I hate the stuff and it's the first time in ages I've let him have any.
