Move to Kent - where is affordable + not awful?

Hello my family and I are thinking of a move to Kent. DH will be commuting to London Bridge (max ideal commute 90 minutes). Looking to buy a 3 or 4 bed with garden for under £400,000. Somewhere pretty.. also less than 1 hours drive to Broadstairs where my mum will be retiring too.. Been googling and checking the train line, just thought I'd ask the oracle too..

Faversham or Canterbury.

Whitstable, Canterbury.

Biddenden, Staplehurst , Hawkhurst - lots of pretty villages there if you don't want a busier place.
