Not sure how phrase this..let's just be direct i think.My period is late.4 days late and I am absolutely bricking it! I have a 10 month old baby and a 4 year old and really if I was pregnant it would be an absolute disaster.
This will/should be only my 3rd period since he was born so maybe it could be that things haven't settled down properly.Getting some pale pink discharge(sorry i know too much info) but thats it.Don't think we have had any contraceptive failures but I am so worried.Everybody...reassure me please!!!!!!!!

oh forgot..did a test last night which was negative but had had quite a lot of coke and my wee wasn't at all yellow so maybe not accurate?

If you are four days overdue and your pregnancy test was negative, I think it is extremely unlikely you are pregnant. Pregnancy tests are very, very good these days. The fact that you have been using contraception makes it even more unlikely. I think it's far more likely your cycle is still quite irregular after chidbirth/breastfeeding.

You, most likely, just haven't settled down yet. Sounds like its just coming on. Try to relax!!

Bit difficult I know, but the more you worry (and get tense) the later it may be. If you've a -ve test this late, I'd be inclined to trust it and put this down to your Ps still settling down.

its funny.the sane logical part of my brain is saying " don't panic,it's very unlikely,etc" but the rest of me is going into full fright mode!!!

alexsmum, know exactly how you are feeling. My periods are still not right (I was as regular as clock work before DS). All I can say is don't worry, try to keep yourself busy so that you're not thinking about it and then when you're out shopping somewhere with no protection it will happen - believe me I know!!
