Today I got locked out and........

It took me all of 3 minuets to break in to my house using an umbrella.

I have a new PVC door and from now on I will be double locking it every time I go out.

Sh*t! That's not good! Time to invest in a burglar alarm for you me thinks.

I was gob smacked, I shut the door thinking DH1 had a key but he did not so we stood there looking at each other thinking oh bugger.
Really it took all of three minuets to get in and the help of a brolly, DH1 and I then looked at each other going oh bugger.

I had to break into my own house twice( 2 different houses) 1st took 2 minutes involving a broom and a catflap, 2nd involved a garage door and a little tiny screwdriver.

scary really.

I used to leave a not on tv saying "If you've got this far without breaking your neck on all the clutter, would you mind dusting before you go"

Luckily my dh IS a burglar alarm engineer, so my house is like a fortress. Unfortunately for me, I have locked myself out too! I am a cm and had 3 kids with me! We had to take refuge with neighbours for 3 hours til dh came home and gave me THAT look!

Going to leave key with neighboure now.
