Has anyone else's internet provider increased the tariff without telling them?

i would def p[hoen up - what if they did this to all their existing customers.....it all adds up to more money in their pockets.
virgin increased ours from £14.99 to £15 - (havne't gotten around to calling yet tho)

tiscali do the opposite - they drop the price but don't pass it on to existing customers unless you go in and change your account - i usually see it advertised on TV and think 'i'm sure we're paying more than that' and we usually are.

We were with wanadoo (taken over and became orange). The price had increased from £17 a month to £23. I called to cancel the account in order to take up with another company who were offering the same package for £13 a month. Orange immediately offered us a reduction to £12.99 a month PERMENANTLY with no length of contract to be tied to (and we have this in writing). If you're out of the initial contract time the try changing - it generally scares them to death as no-one likes to lose customers.
