Internet security which do you use and is it any good?

PC has been inundated with viruses malwares and cookies.....despite having norton internet security.
The particular virus is called zlob and its nasty. Going to send computer into shop to get sorted as any current security I add is blocked by it.
I have a laptop but am wary about this happening again and want to get some security for it asap!!!! any recommendations?

seems to have kept our pc virus free (touch wood)

I've just upgraded to Norton 360 for about £50 for up to 3 pcs. Seems very good. Has anti-spyware added on, antivirus, firewall etc. Also some sort of protection for when you're giving personal details online and option to use their service so you can backup all your music etc.
