help - slowly going insane

posted this already in parenting forum, but need lots of help!:

going slowly insane as I work full-time, am committed to my children 3 and hubby is house-husband.

therefore, i never meet mothers at the gate, my work 'mates' are quite superficial, and most of the people i used to know have moved and left my college (now home) town.

how can i meet like minded people with interests that doesn't clash with children or work?

i like yoga - never talk to anyone there
i like swimming - a bit lonely
i like walking around coastal path etc - go with family
i like riding my bike - but a bit hilly round here (cornwall)

other interests: used to sail, rock music, can play pool quite well, used to play rugby, read lots of sci-fi, love films

i don't think i'm boring, but i would just like a friend to go down the pub with or meet up for coffee.

help, i sound so sad!

: )

Try catching someone's eye after yoga?
Or join a walking/sailing club?

tried a rowing club (cheaper than sailing club per year), and they seemed nice.

and the captain (i know that's not the tech term!!) was a really shouty lady, as soon as I got my stoke in, she would start telling me how to make the strokes better and i would crash and burn to say the least.

maybe i should steel my resolve and try that one again.

they do do trip to the isles of scillies for the worldchampionships, which i rather fancy!
