Asks the creatively stunted northerner?

Line a box with green felt and sprinkle a bag of mini eggs over it. Voila! The magic garden where easter eggs grow.

NoNoNoBodyInTheTomb · 22/03/2007 14:32

You have to make a garden? Like in a big bowl or something?

SoupDragon · 22/03/2007 14:32

Add a stuffed rabbit if you have one. Not a real stuffed rabbit though.

NoNoNoBodyInTheTomb · 22/03/2007 14:32

I like soupy's suggestion

Or a closed box - could be the secret garden!

NoNoNoBodyInTheTomb · 22/03/2007 14:33

Ah go on ... a real stuffed rabbit would be more authentic

SoupDragon · 22/03/2007 14:33

We're not being very helpful are we?

SoupDragon · 22/03/2007 14:33

( like the Secret Garden. Eat the eggs that would have been in the esater garden instead)

NoNoNoBodyInTheTomb · 22/03/2007 14:34

BIzarrely, I think
this one

is for real!

PandaG · 22/03/2007 14:35

does it have to symbolise the Easter story? If so, either use a deep tray or a bowl shaped planter. Make a tomb - cut one side off a plant pot, find stone for entrance. put earth over base of tray, add moss, small pebbles for path, cross (or 3 crosses) made out of twigs and string. Add a few plants (still in their pots if on tray, or you can plant them if you ase a bowl planter. Add lambs/chicks if you like.

NoNoNoBodyInTheTomb · 22/03/2007 14:36

rabbit and eggs is easier, though. Even if it is a little biologically confusing

northerner · 22/03/2007 14:38

Good job I asked. I was thinking along Souply's lines, bit of grass, fluffy chicks and some mini eggs.

How they would have laughed. Seems it needs to be a tad religious

Almosr forgot ds goes to a CofE school.

Reading this with interest as DD told me yesterday that they have to bring in an Easter Garden on Friday. I had no idea what one was!
It all sounds lovely, but what if you don't believe in god? (OK I'm a hypocrite - we celebrate Easter and Christmas but don't believe in God at all)
Should my DD still be doing a garden that features a tomb/cross or can she just go with the bunny and eggs??

Get a shoe box and paint it green inside and add gardeny things Leave the outside like a box for "surprise" element

Here are some our Y5 did last year. The daffodils were put in as plants, btw not as bulbs.
