HELP, how do i put a tick in a box on a word application form ??

I'm trying to fill in a job application form which is in word. I have to fill it in and email it back, but for sone the questions you have to put a tick in the yes or no box, how do i do it ??

Actually could i just put a Y in the yes box or an N in the no box ??

It should have a tick once it is clicked.

Can you go to "insert" at the top, down to "insert symbol" then find the tick and click on it. Some applications let you do this, some don't. Worth a try.

If all else fails, change the font to 'webdings' or 'wingdings' (can't remember which one) and type a (that's a lower case letter 'a') - it will convert it to a tick.

An X would do just as well imho...
