Grammar School Memories

Starting this thread to revive some good old grammar school memories.
I like talking about uniforms, memories and etc.

Would be nice to share some ridiculously funny or any spectacular memories about your grammar school days. Name of the school wouldn't hurt.

:-) A nice little trip down memory lane.

I remember I used to wear caps at my school.

We had to wear felt hats and gym slips in the winter a la st trinians! In the summer we had a horrible summer dress and straw boater in the summer. I'm sure my grammar school was a public school wannabe, we even had the years in public school style: first eleven & removes for year nine etc.
I loved it, we all mostly did well academically but didn't really learn any useful skills like typing ( it was the '70's). Happy days!!

Could you tell us the school name? You don't have to but it would be nice if you did.

Doesn't hurt to know. Just asking, thats why I put an option of sharing if preferred.

Just baffled as to what it adds, particularly given that very few posters like to share identifying details?

Learning Latin and French at the same time and getting confused by the pronunciation
