spent 4 hours last night in A&E with FIL......

and couldn't believe the amount of alcohol related injuries..abusive behaviour..feel for the docs & nurses esp the ones who work the late shifts and have to put up with this type of crap.....a waste of government funds IMO....

I know.....sometimes I think we should follow the US method of private medical care. Hope your FIL is okay.

It was St Patricks Day and last night there appeared to be more people out than usual. I expect the bars and pubs had silly promotions on. I was glad I was in a taxi heading home.

friend is an A&E nurse.....telling me how a man called the A&E department last week re something to do with his wife who had been treated there, and was exceptionally aggressive and threatened to come to A&E and stab her!

A policeman had to call for back up...the man was threatening the policeman with violence....the staff asked him numerous times to calm down...he kept going out of the main entrance and coming back to pick a fight...what for????
