Of course, you should be fine! Get down to yr local gym asap and book an induction at which point they should be able to write you a routine to follow everytime you go.
How's your diet? Any vices you can try to cut out/dwon? Avoid using yr car as far as possible and walk instead, don't use lifts but stairs etc etc.

TeeCee · 21/03/2007 13:37

I can't be arsed to diet either and now I'm pregnant again I can eat all the cream cakes I like! Well for the next 6 months anyway!

agalch · 21/03/2007 13:38

Aitch i have never been on a diet in my life before now,and i can't believe i have lost so much.Don't know what will happen after the wedding Hope i don't revert back to pigging out.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 21/03/2007 13:41

tsk tks TEecee

Exercise is a real sticking point for me. I have a v bad back (obviously made worse by the excess weight), but, i have an unstable pelvis and I really dont want to do myself damage by over stretching joints and ligaments. I'd prefer to stick to lots of walking and some swimming with my two. A gym (aside from being beyond our means atm), is just a real no go for me.

Its a bit of a vicious circle - I need to lose weight to make my back better and enable me to exercise more, but, I need to exercise to help me lose weight.

you know you can ask your GP to send you to your local council gym for a once-over? so they can show you how to exercise without injury?

(see how i know this stuff but i ignore it for myself?)

VeniVidiVickiQV · 21/03/2007 16:12

I dont think that sort of thing exists around our way aitch.

Are you going to join us?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 21/03/2007 16:47

Oh, I forgot to say...

My wedding dress arrived today

Just as I was leaving for work, so no chance to see just how much it doesnt fit

OP posts:
MamaG · 22/03/2007 13:35

oh wow did you unpoack it? I bet you're itching to get home!

If its 2 sizes smaller, don't try it on - you'll be peed off , just stick with the diet and try it on in a bit.

I can't fit into my wedding dress anymore

D'ya think cleaning windows burns calories?!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/03/2007 16:45

I did last night when I got home!!!

DP was a bit of an arse actually.

He said that I shouldnt have bought two dress sizes down, because he doesnt think it will be possible to slim down that much in time, and that if I had gone down one size it would have been better, and could have been taken in if I did lose more than that.

I can see what he meant, but it was as far from as encouragement as you could get really.

I did unpack and put a leg in, then realised how daft that actually was and put it back. I could get the bolero on though, so not so terrible.

OP posts:
MamaG · 22/03/2007 16:59

you CAN do it VVV - look at all the stories on here. DP just being a man I'm afraid

You never know, him saying that will prob make you even more determined to do it, just to prove the point!

Whats the dress like?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/03/2007 17:56

this is it

2shoesonanegghunt · 22/03/2007 18:09

WOW

MamaG · 22/03/2007 22:29

oh that is beautiful, so elegant, I love it.

LowFatMilkshake · 22/03/2007 22:34

I say you can.

I went for my fitting and just got in to a size 22, but the shop said for a good fit I should get a 26, (not even a 24), and have it altered. I said I would diet and got told, all brides say that - few do

Anyway I had quite a few alterations and and come the big day unless I sat perfect posture I disapeared into the bodice!!

You go for it, you can do anything you put your mind to! Just keep lokking at the dress!

Good luck!

Lizzer · 22/03/2007 22:39

Ah VVVQV, That's a lovely dress, I would love to have something similar, found this which I fancy for me..would need shrug though, not baring my arms!

I bought another pair of jeans in an 18 today, Its not good! I used to slip into a fourteen with no problem and still have many pairs under my bed in storage. So I appreciate how seeing your dress would stir up emotions. I think you should see it as motivational, though there's me saying that, but....Oooooooo look there's a black kettle, my name's 'the pot' by the way...

I'm not weighing myself til monday but feel a little less bloated but need to do more exercise Eating ok but probably should cut down amounts, and stop having wine in the evenings... How's everyone else getting along with the weight?

Good luck for the weekend everybody

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/03/2007 22:52

aww thank you, you lot. You are blardy lovely

OP posts:
MamaG · 22/03/2007 22:52

ooh nice Lizzer, whats your colouring?

I ate an easter egg to celebrate becoming a great-aunt for the first time

Pann · 22/03/2007 23:04

VVVQV - you will do it. You can and you will. I will be WB's assistant. Except nastier. Evil, heartless

And don't forget. I am biking around so much more, and am working up to buns of steel for both of us!!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/03/2007 23:09

Not quite sure what you mean by "for both of us" Pann

OP posts:
Lizzer · 22/03/2007 23:10

Mmm, can I lick the tinfoil wrapper in which the said egg was wrapped?

Although I do know where dd's lindt bunny is hidden in the kitchen

Congrats on your great-aunty status,MamaG hope all is well with the lo and mum...
I'm a blonde who's quite pale so light colours are out. If its too green it might look wrong though...
