I've lost over a stone in three weeks with Cambridge stuff over the internet. I feel like a different person! Gone from a being a size 16 at 5'8" to a 13 (12 top, 12-14 bottom, and shrinking). Double chin gone, arms thinner, just feel so much happier.

Aero · 19/03/2007 20:42

Belated wishes for your birthday QV. I managed to lose over four stone with WW after Ds1 was born and over two stone after I had dd and managed to keep if off for a long time until after I had ds2. Unfortunately after he was born though, somehow the motivation disappeared and I'm not far off where I started again, but am seriously thinking of starting again with WW or SW, which a lot of folk recommend. I'm being more inspired every dsay, so fingers crossed for motivation return!

I'm sure you can do it (although you look lovely anyway , if I may say so). It's easy once you grt going and tbh, you shouldn't even feel hungry. I may even join you in your efforts...............

VeniVidiVickiQV · 19/03/2007 21:02

Awww thank you - all of you.

I am definitely a size 18, and, without going near scales, I know i have gained further since christmas because my 18 clothes are getting tight. I have always been big-framed I guess.

when at school we had fat measurements done in PE once - despite being a size 12, my body fat measurement indicated that I was marginally underweight.

Anyhoo - the weekend.....well, Saturday morning I was awoken with a HUGE chocolate birthday cake, and a fried breakfast. Bought a 'nice' ready meal from M & S for dinner, for us and friends, and as a gift, my friends brought round a box of chocolates.....

Sunday morning I was awoken with a box of chocolates for mothers day.....so, chocolate overkill. There are still loads of chocolates left, but, I have decided i WILL eat them, but, just one a day. Thorntons will never have graced my cupboards for so long .

Today was crap, but, I have this guilt thing about what the cupboards and fridge are filled with.

i had a handful of apricot wheats for breakfast (no milk or anythign) and a cup of tea nad a pint of water.

For lunch I had (oh dear) 2 scones, with clotted cream and jam....

For dinner, I changed my meal option from herb crumbed cod with mushrooms and cream to veggie soup with rolls. I only ate half of it because it was minging. So, I am guessing that although my lunch was pants, its not such a terrible day after all.

My exercise for the day.....none. I did do lots of hoovering at the weekend though (I dont normally - DP usually does it because it hurts my back but I though sod it, i gotta start somewhere).

That post does look like i am in denial about lunch, but, im guessing that no snacking and nothing else throughout the day except water means it is not as bad as it could have been, on a 'usual' day.....

I think i may be in some denial though

Good luck QV. My friend's getting married next month and she's been on some sort of diet. She looks fab and must have dropped about three dress sizes in the past four months.

Congratualtions btw.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 19/03/2007 21:05

How are you doing today?

me:

porridge for brekkie
bowl of soup for lunch with a wholemeal roll

no exercise AGAIN

Lizzer · 20/03/2007 12:40

Hello, so far its been 2 oatcakes and banana for brek, 2 coffees (dp put sugar in before I could say no.. but I didn't fight it, tbh) rocket, avacado and tuna salad with a hint of dressing and pint of water.

Back on the sea kelp, soya lecithin and B6 supps from health food shop, they're cheap and make me feel as though my sluggish metabolism may get a kick start..

Going swimming tonight, just hope I don't wallow in the spa bath for too long pretending that it still counts as 'swimming'

Wow everyone's stories are inspirational on here, I take back what I said about slim clubs if they've worked that well for people. I thought they were patronising and expensive but perhaps that's just the only experience I have of them.....
More stories of excellent weight loss please!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 20/03/2007 13:01

I've had dry apricot wheats for breakfast with rosehip tea to drink.

Lots of water, and an incidental 1/4 of a mile walk to drop DD off at pre-school which is something I suppose.

I've had leftovers for lunch - a paella rice thing with chicken. Very dry, tiny portion and seems pretty healthy........

MamaG · 20/03/2007 13:02

I've just added to my list:-

muller lite yoghurt
pear
plum

chocolate cake, small

VeniVidiVickiQV · 20/03/2007 13:07

LOL! Dont feel so bad about adding my toddler-sized portion of jam roly-poly now.....

I wish i could just throw out the stuff i have sat in the cupboardd and fridge, but, i cant bring myself to. So, i'll have to get off my arse and exercise more I think....looks like i'll be hoovering the house again tomorrow

Can I join too pleeease

Getting married in 10 weeks and first dress fittin in 6 could really do with loosing a stone.

Stress just makes me eat more

For brekkie had an apple

Dinner had chicken salad and now the chocolate is calling me.

MrsMills · 20/03/2007 13:35

You need puff here, she dropped about 8 stones or something like that.

Where has she gone anyway?

Oblomov · 20/03/2007 13:59

And, at the last minute, you could go for a "univeralcontourwrap.co.uk" = inch loss wrap
cost about £40.
Loads of salons.
Most ladies lose lots of inches, esp from thighs, hips and stomach.
My best friend just lost 10 inches last week !!!!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 20/03/2007 18:57

The more the merrier alibobins.

Just had the mingiest work dinner ever.

A portion (3 wedges) of dried up boiled potato, a spoonful of 'mixed veg' (you know the frozen diced carrot, peas sweetcorn and french beans you get in supermarkets), and a 'ready' aircraft-type meal which was supposed to be vegetable pie, but the foil lid - yes foil lid - said it was sweet potato and parsnip bake. It was burnt on top, and appeared to be in some kind of white and red gunk which i suspect may have been quite fatty, but, I think the chefs had burned the calories out of it before it got to me though.

So much for outsourcing the catering in hospitals, eh?
