oooooh yes vvv,I am sure you can!!

Bear in mind that quite often when dieting you will lose quite a bit in the initial phase, then "plateau" for a while, at which point it is vital to carry on with the good work and eventually you will start losing weight again (at least, this always happens to dh anyway )

pointydog · 16/03/2007 21:01

it's possible but don't get all stressed about it.

Lizzer · 16/03/2007 21:22

VVVQV, alright girl, I'll make it a challenge if that'll help ya?! Seriously though, I'm an 18 too at the moment, never before (not since having dd 7 yrs ago) and I need to get down into my usual size 14. I'm determined to do it and we want to get married this year too. I've been posting on the ten years younger thread which has helped me this week for definite BUT if you're feeling up for it....???? (Point me in direction of other threads if you're already doing it, I work better in company)

VeniVidiVickiQV · 16/03/2007 22:08

Aww you have all been so lovely and supportive. I have decided to start the diet Monday. Along with much much much more walking, and running around with my two. (Its my birthday tomorrow, and Mother's Day Sunday obv and I know i'll be getting chocs etc so I'd rather start with a clean slate after this weekend).

Lizzer - you're on

Im not on any other threads, so, maybe we can check in on this one?

MamaG · 16/03/2007 22:10

MamaG · 16/03/2007 22:10

Happy birthday for 1.5 hours time VVVQV!!!!

Lets do it mamaG and all. I love the TTY thread and will still stick to it but need to be honest about weightloss (which is not the prime motive of that particular thread) and I can only do it on here. I lost weight 5 yrs ago and really did well with the support of mn.. I want to be a buff bride!!!!!!

I'll weigh myself this week [scared emoticon]

MamaG · 16/03/2007 22:47

God I'm not posting my weight!

suejonez · 16/03/2007 22:51

yes you can drop 2 dress sizes in 7 months with exercise as well as diet. but don't assume you can sustain 2lb per weeks over 7 months because you won't. Be realistic and max out on the exercise.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 16/03/2007 23:04

thanks Lizzer!

LOL MamaG - i dont have scales so couldnt if i wanted too

Sue - exercise is something thats a slight problem because of my back and pelvis, but, I'm planning on doing much more walking. (I do hardly any atm so more than nothing hsa got to be better, yes?)

i did this years ago. had to buy a uniform for work and had a certain ammount of time before I had to wear it. so I joined slimming club and it worked. I KNEW I had to do it.
good luck I am sure you can do it.

Lizzer · 16/03/2007 23:18

Sorry only meant weight LOSS not weight itself

I know I need to tone up with walking and stretches, and drop around about 2 stone to be infinitely happy with my BMI and myself...

VeniVidiVickiQV · 16/03/2007 23:23

thanks 2shoes

VVVQV and MamaG, I'm here.. How was your birthday weekend?
I had quite a good day but know that I'm probably still eating too much I plan to be extra good in the week and not soo bad at the weekends. Walked for 30 mins this morning and was feet all day at work but need to join some sort of exercise class (yoga, pilates) to help me keep focussed. What are your plans?
I really don't fancy WW or slim world cos I went once and it seems they're after your money more than your health "buy this 'health' bar" etc.. But i know it works for other people...
I weighed myself and I've put on half a stone since xmas
Anyway this is the start of it and I'm not going to beat myself up about that..

Onwards and downwards, girls, onwards and downwards.....

MamaG · 19/03/2007 20:16

food - fruit n fibre
