Saw Heather Mills on the box this morning, she was supposed to be talking about the process of farrowing in pig farming, but ended up talking about............

oh she was a really nice lassie, worked for the fire service, and she was faking it as a tv director. her mentor was conor somebodyorother who produced and diercted that saturday morning kids show.

what tess and brian etc were told was that the show was auditioning 4 new directors for a job. (in fact, it was a faking it test).

when our girl came on she made a couple of wee mistakes, so not great but not disastrous, but in the commercial break daly pulled her earpiece out and complained to the production team via the camera. she threatened to walk off the show there and then if something wasn't done about the lack of professionalism etc etc etc. granted she didn't know it was a faking it thing but she was completely prepared to humiliate the 'new director' and screw up her chances of getting the job.

she is, therefore, A Bitch, imo. plus i've seen her in person and she's really no more than a tit job and a smile.

For what it's worth, she's not let her disability hold her back, has she? Perhaps she should be admired for that (although I still can't stand her, but only because the press tell me she's a minger and I believe everything I read).

Aitch I remember that, she was so uneccessarily horrible about it, nothing like her on screen persona.

As for HMM, for some reason I always try to give her the benefit of the doubt. If Bono or bob Geldolf said that starving African children kept them awake at night we would all say they were wonderful people. I realise Im in the minority here, and I agree she doesnt come across as likeable but I think what she has had to deal with in the press has been awful.

Have to say, I dont think that it is unreasonable to request Police assistance if you are being followed, late at night, by men you dont know. Personally.

I know. and it's v unusual for the police to comment like this.

The tacit implication I get from much of the bile is that she has something (or things) that people feel she got somehow undeservedly.

People seem to be jealous of the privilege she's had, even though she has gone through some terrible times to get there.

Like she said in the Guardian interview "What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
That everybody's capable of change."

We all need hope of redemption - people just don't seem to be able to forgive her here 'sins', even though she's been extremely honest about them. That definitely seems like jealousy to me. Maybe not jealousy of her, but what she has and what she?s achieved. The people we choose to hate (especially when we don?t really know them) tell us a lot about what we?d like for ourselves, that?s all.

Perhaps the police were cornered into making a statement by the very same journalists that were hounding HMM, and knew how many calls she was making to police to assist her?

FFS, the thing is all these nutters scaring her will feel justified because 'everyone hates her'. She is somehow a legitimate hate figure. It's disgraceful. It really shows up the worst in all of us.

I see your point, MonkeyTrousers. I don't have a generalised dislike of her: I just really disliked that comment (see below). My only other gripe about her is that she fell out so badly with her step-daughters, which doesn't speak very well of her. Doesn't speak very well of them either, but then their mother had just died.

I am not jealous of her or of what she has. I admire the way she doesn't let her disability get in her way and her work with land-mine awareness was great.
However, from what I see in the media (which I know is not the complete picture), she seems very self-obsessed and I find her highly annoying.
That is my personal opinion and I am sure that HMM doesn't care one way or the other what I think!

She has lied and lied and lied! Lied even about utterly bizarre stuff.
