people claim to be starving, when really they just mean they are hungry, boiling when they are just hot, freezing when they are just cold. is this something a pedant would get annoyed over?

Iam so stressed = I am rather worried.
I am exhausted = i am tired.
Cannot bear hyperbole!

Doesn't bother me so much from a pedantic point of view - I find it quite colourful actually.
Although it gets on my tits when people start going on about how 'shattered' they are because they only had 8 hours sleep.....

I have always been unreasonably bothered by people saying it's boiling, as generally temperatures don't get that high. But I am a pedant .
