Urgent help required

Does anyone know of a good catering company for private dinner parties. Have made a booking with local company who have now quoted a huge amount for a 3 course meal + coffee. Tunbridge Wells area. Advice needed as soon as possible.

Thanks soapbox, but I have heard of people actually coming in and cooking the food in your own home, so that you can also enjoy the party without having to get up every 5 minutes to check that everything is cooking ok, and also that serve up as well.

These people did our wedding reception and might be willing to nip down the A21...they were really excellent and Fergus is a good man.

Hand Made Food

Owned by foodie Fergus Clague, nearly everything in this mouth-watering shop is produced on site. The aim is not only to feed (the shop has a thriving outside catering business) but also to introduce customers to the delights of new tastes. Food, (much of which is free-range and locally-produced) is an eclectic mix of Italian, English, Jamaican, Moroccan, Turkish, Thai and Vietnamese: think lamb tagine, roast squash risotto, turlu turlu, pad thai and homity pie. It comes as no surprise that the chefs, headed by Liz Carretta, love to travel and be inspired to bring home new ingredients and ways of cooking. You'll never want a supermarket ready meal again after coming here. They also do outside catering.

I've tried, but answering service is on. Anyone else got any recommentations. Please!!

How much was huge amount? We paid around 500 euros for a three course meal for 10 - sit down, three courses, waiter service, cleaned kitchen afterwards and you wouldn't have known they were there. We bought the wine ourselves but they would've supplied that too if we'd asked. I didn't think 50 euros (what's that? about 35 pounds?) a head was too bad.
