I'm applying for a grant for dd's preschool and my mind's gone blank. Basically applying for funds to pay for first aid training for all the staff - how would you pitch the project to the good people at Tesco Charity Trust?

Are you at the first stage (write with brief details) or have they checked that you fit the criteria and asked you to fill in an application form?

If the former, just start at the beginning. Check the criteria and all the information they give in their leaflet. Then introduce the school and say a bit about it. Explain what the situation is because the staff aren't trained (even if you feel a bit grandma / sucking eggs at this stage - don't take it for granted they can see the problems). Then say how great it would be if you could provide training, what the training would be, how much it would cost.

Any help? [sceptical emoticon at that]
