Right basically I have my 2 photo's ready to be sent off with my passport application...trouble is one of them is marked on the back where my countersigner signed it by accident and then rubbed it off (the other one is signed properly).

Firstly - will they still accept it like this? the mark does not show through...

Secondly, if not can I can the original passport photo (taken in a booth) into my computer and just print an extra identical one off my PC on photo paper?

Thirdly - If I can - How do I print passport sized photo's? my kodak software doesnt seem to have the option...

i dunno - they have a number - ring them

  1. don't know
  1. yes
  1. just copy n paste into whatever program you find easiest where you can resize images - i used MS Word - and resize to right size.

I have rang them many times and each time they give me a different answer.

Why don't you just have pics done again and then do check and send with Post Office to cover yourself

Sugerbones · 12/03/2007 16:14

because then I'd have to get them countersigned again which takes a while and I really need to get them sorted out asap. I'm just going to try and 'make' another one myself and then tomorow I'll take my homemade one in as well as the original one with the mark on and ask the post office which one I should send.

My countersigner did that, and the post office said that the second one HAS to be blank, and I had to have them redone.

that PO check and send is brilliant

KathyMCMLXXII · 12/03/2007 16:16

But don't tell them it's a scanned version, just in case.
They won't know if you don't tell them, as long as the quality is good.

Apparently they are VERY fussy now. They seem to do something strange to them when it goes into your passport & when it comes back you look like a ghost.

I took my own and cut and paste into a desk top publishing package to get the right size. They accepted them fine last time, this time they queried the countersign bit on the form and nothing about photos so I am assuming they are Ok I think my countersigner didn't put his passport number. DH took the new form in to the passport office today so fingers crossed I get it back by holiday time.
