Why do people type things on here that sometimes seemto be delibrately put to make others feel bad?

For example 'I really want a girl baby'
'You should be grateful for what you get as others don't have any' - makes the OP feel awful
'My MIL drives me nuts'
'You should be grateful to have a MIL, mine died at Christmas'

We're allowed to maon on here surely without people making us feeling completely selfish... Just imagine if everytime someone said 'my dh is driving me crazy' all the lone parents wetn on about how they would love a dh...

Or am I thinking about it too much

I was only joking about thinking of faking my own demise as a way of getting out of a visit. I did try to go on and try and say why I felt like I did which of course no one knows the "background" as to why I feel the way I do, they were just responding to my OP which did seem like a long selfish rant. I would liken it to saying "I could kill DH" but of course you never would, if that makes sense.

sometimes I've posted things about not having any help with the kids - my mum is nearly 80 so I look after her too.

It's not intended to make anyone feel bad, it's just that with the things in life that really hurt me I feel I haven't got a good outlet to have a moan about them, without always piling it on dh.

Thats why I love MN so much, it's like a release valve for me sometimes, but it's never intended to upset others (unless I've been a bitch and I usually apologise)
