shopping near stanstead

I'm going to be in Stansted airport with about 6 hours to kill this month and want to kill time by hammering the credit card! I can't be bothered trekking into london-can anyone advise me of somewhere connected to airport by public transport with good collection of high st usuals (next, topshop etc)-want to stock up when don't have ds with me.

Bishops Stortford is the nearest town and connected to the airport by train (bus too). Usual range of shops there.

5-10 minutes by train. 10 minutes by car - it is literally the other side of the M11 from the airport area.

Not sure Stortford has a Topshop but has Next, Monsoon, M&S.

Train goes straight to Stortford, and it takes about 5 minutes to walk from Station up to shopping area. Shops aren't brilliant, but OK for high-street stuff

I like the little shops myself, Bears is very good is a bit pricey - stuff you can't get elsewhere. Mind you, I haven't been for ages - assume it's still there!
