any mumsnet house doctors ???

I am just about to put my house on the market and wanted some advice or tips about what will sell my house quickly.I remember looking at a house and they had left bug killer on the side and the place recked of air freshner it put me right off.what has put you off buying a house

Happycat sold my house two months ago.

I cleaned the place opened all windows put heating low made a pot of coffee...............

Then our leahter sofa arrived (they said between 8am-1pm) viewingwas at 4pm.
So 4pm people arrive so does sofa they can't get the sofa in the door so they go through the neigbours garage over the garden wall whole time am showing the people around making light jokes about it is one of those days..........................they bought our house they loved. I think it is how you seel your house i love my house just need something bigger i think if you go round showing enthusiasim then you have it in the bag.
