Can anyone help me. My leather sofa is starting to crack and I really want to prevent it getting any worse as it will look really shabby. Any advice gratefully received.

Our leather settee was really badly cracked and the colouring started to come away. I was advised to oil it until it stopped "drinking". Well, I used a bottle and a half of olive oil and it soaked it up like a sponge. I was really surprised at how the leather absorbed all the oil without leaving the slightest trace of grease. Then I switched to sunflower oil and I used half a litre of this and if I'd put on more, it would have been happy to soak up more. Then I applied leather cream to it and it looks miles better. It still needs a couple more applications of the leather cream. This was really tedious work and we weren't been able to sit on the settee for a while but it was well worth the effort. HTH

hi sorry this is late but hope you get it , one of the best things i can recomend is just a normal moisturiser for leather settees cleans and and keeps it soft! also great for shoes, trainers etc!
