My non bio works a treat. Which one are you using?

Twinkie · 25/06/2004 12:09

Ooohh I use fairy non bio and its great!!

Northerner · 25/06/2004 12:11

I use Fairy too and I love it. It smell so clean.

MrsDoolittle · 25/06/2004 12:13

Last week myself and dd stayed with my parents. My lovely dm thought she would do a wash for us before I went home.
I forgot to check the washing liquitabs, which were Persil colour. The poor chick looks like the singing detective now and that was 3 days ago!!!!

Toothache · 25/06/2004 12:15

Another Fairy Non-Bio user here and I've never had a problem with it.

NomDePlume · 25/06/2004 12:31

I use Persil Non Bio and it does seem to have a few probs with certain stains, despite the fact that I put a scoop or 2 of Vanish Oxy Action in with the detergent. Although this morning I did my whites wash (95 degrees) with Persil Non-b, 1 scoop of Vanish and a Whitener sachet !!!

MrsDoolittle · 25/06/2004 12:46

Useful info, NomDePlume, I bought Persil non-bio by accident the other day. I normally use Fairy. I didn't think it was as good either!

NomDePlume · 25/06/2004 12:50

It seems to be the 'orangey' stains that the powder has trouble getting to grips with. Satsuma juice and baked bean sauce seem to be the main culprits.

MrsDoolittle · 25/06/2004 12:58

Mine are just yellow baby poo!!

busybee123 · 25/06/2004 13:26

i use tescos non bio....£3.95 for a big box. Its great and last us (2 adults, 2 kids and 1 baby with washable nappies) 2 weeks

happymummy1 · 25/06/2004 18:28

I use fairy non bio its great and the clothes always smell so fresh.

Branster · 25/06/2004 18:43

same here busybee123. it's fine. i do treat most stains with vanish stick before putting them in the machine and had no problems

Tanzie · 25/06/2004 21:41

We can't get non-bio here, unless you want to hand wash everything in Marseille Soap Flakes. I rinse twice, when I remember...

Marina · 28/06/2004 09:21

Tanzie, that is interesting and well worth flagging up to any giteurs this summer. Is that just a local issue or the same throughout Francophone Europe? I am alarmed.
We use Persil non-bio, topped up with some Nappisan for pale washes and also deploy household soap beforehand for stubborn stains.
I found Fairy hopeless, lovely scent apart. Can I ask Fairy fans if they live in hard or soft water areas? Our water is really hard and I wonder if that is a factor.

twiglet I have the same prob. I cant use bio because off our didgy skin aswell. He has psoriasis and anything flares up his nasty type of psoriasis and i get eczema and have another rare skin complaint. I cant use vanish either so we are well and truly buggered.

No help just a grrrrrrrrrr with you

Fio2 · 28/06/2004 10:13

Marina our water is really hard too and I DO think it does make it harder to get stains off. The detergent just doesnt seem to soap up iykwim!
