How long does it take for a speeding ticket to come through after being flashed

Got flashed just over a week ago, my own fault, road works on the motorway and didn't slow down in time, broke the law and know its my fault and need to pay etc etc.

But how long does it take to actually send the thing through?

You should receive it within 14 days.

Sometimes you dont get them either.... i was flashed twice (should have learnt the first time!) - but never received anything...

aDad · 28/02/2007 11:45

You've got a very good chance of never hearing about it again.

emmatomATO · 28/02/2007 11:45

Yep Nip - so if you havn't received it within 14 days april, you can safely assume it was just a flash and no camera.

I got caught at New Year and the ticket arrived 5 days later , so it sounds like maybe you've been lucky

chipkid · 08/03/2007 19:28

incidentally if you receive it AFTER 14 days they cannot prosecute you! so if it comes in late, tell them to take a hike!

fryalot · 08/03/2007 19:31

I got one a few weeks ago and it stated on the form that if the speeding was over two weeks ago, they couldn't prosecute. (In my case it was about 12 days, wondered if I could 'lose' it for a couple of days but didn't dare)
