uploading photos....JPEG???

I take photos with my mobile phone then email them to myself and then I can save them and upload them. (only just learnt how to do this!!!) The trouble is, I can only upload ones that are JPEG. Some turn out as JPEG some dont. Since I don't change my settings for taking the pictures, how do i make sure the photos I take are JPEG? I know they have JPEG after the file name but I want to make them JPEG when I take them, so I know thay can be uploaded. Does this make sense????

Not sure how to change the settings on your mobile phone so they are always JPEG. But, once you've saved them to your pc you can open then in a photo editor of some kind and then do a 'save as' and make sure the file type is .JPEG or .JPG.

There are lots of different photo editors around that come free with most of the pc magazines but 'Paint' which comes with a normal installation of Microsoft also has the capability to save as JPEG's.
