So sad to hear about Zombie tonight & cant find a new thread now that the keep the home fires thread is full?

Such a wonderful woman who will be missed by so so many people.

Am just sad. FidGirl's gone quiet. Well she has but there's some godawful music coming from her room. When I told her she said, with all the wisdom of her 14 years, "That's fucking shit, isn't it?"

Yes, it is and sometimes there is no dressing it up.

I am currently supporting a friend whose father is at the beginning of his final journey after a cancer diagnosis a number of years ago. He has a couple of decades on Zombie, but that does not make it easier on him or his family. It is fucking shit.

Looking over the threads again - feeling that crazy lost flat relieved sad feeling - and seeing all you stalwarts of the DBF and the true Phalanx members who were there for so very long. Such great supports, as was Zombie to you.

Won't send pats Fid won't be able to cope but special thoughts of strength to you all.

Did anyone see the one bright star above the tiny crescent moon last night at dusk? Yes, I know it was Venus, but it pleased me so very much to think of her taking over the whole sky for that first hour or so. Just checking on her people. Her loved ones. Her Phalanx. Smiling that huge smile.

on the last thread someone posting a version of Somewhere over the rainbow.
I used to hate that song (too sentimental) but I play in brass band and they play a great version of it, with an off beat rhythmn.
Well, it was the same version posted on the last thread, by a guy call IZ.
Everytime we play it in the band I shall play it for Zombie.
