So sad to hear, however inevitable, Love to all those who know and love her - and to those who never met her and still love her.

I will think of you often, and especially when i stop off at Harry Tuffins on trips up country, dear Zombie.

Goodnight, Zombie Gin

having a quick weep in the loo at work

I'll be raising one for you and your family tonight.

Lissette · 31/01/2017 11:37

I'll light a candle at 8 and will toast with whisky.

Do you think we ought to give the heads up to the International Space Station? That's a lot of candles being lit in Zombie's honour. It could get very bright.Grin

UnbornMortificado · 31/01/2017 11:50

I'm going to purchase a new candle in Zombie's honour.

Not that I ever need an excuse to buy far too many candles.

YoJesse · 31/01/2017 11:51

De lurking to say RIP Zombie. The way you not just delt with but enjoyed life no matter what it threw at you is inspriring.

horizontilting · 31/01/2017 11:55

Love to all the phalanx. So sorry for your loss.

I think the candles lighting all round the globe will be great - so many flickers of light.

I wish there was a virtual map of the globe where we could roughly pin all those spots of light to show the phalanx, Zombie's family and her friends where all these candles have been lighting every evening in her honour.

Godspeed Zombie, fly free of pain xo

SassynSane · 31/01/2017 12:01

Candles out ready for 8pm xx

might light four candles, think Zombie would appreciate the small smile that will elicit

Malcolm I read that poem at my grandmother's funeral at the request of my mum. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. Beautiful words.

Susiesoap7 · 31/01/2017 14:01

Been to post my first few squares for candys hugs, got a new lavender candle out for tonight . I don't know about anyone else but today I feel like a part of the jigsaw is missing

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 31/01/2017 14:07

I agree, Susie. I feel oddly at a loose end, today. Silly, because I didn't even 'know' her, although I lurked for so long I almost felt I did. I really, really wish I'd posted on her threads sooner.

I've decided to take the plunge and offer to join the Candy's Hugs project in her honour. It's been years since I knitted, and the tribe of SmallMalcolms mean that I don't get a huge amount of time, but if I can get involved, albeit at a snail's pace, then it's one way of keeping her legacy going.

The other way, of course, is lots of Gin, 🍸,🍹,🍾, 🥃, 🍷 and 🍺!
