gothicmama - not sure if this will help but there is a good article in today's Independent (in the Review section) about this kind of thing and how to get rid of it.

Sympathy to you. My machine got trashed a few weeks ago and dh installed Ad-aware 6.0 which finds everything on your machine that shouldn't be there and then you can get rid of it. He downloaded it off the web so you'll probably find it. You also need to keep your machine patched with microsofts updates or else it leaves doors wide open.

BTW if you use internet banking from that PC, once it's clean change your numbers because spyware can grab them and use them.

gothicmama, You are a star!!!

I have been trying to get rid of spy-ware on my computer for AGES!!
I would run spy sweeper, hijackthis etc, it would say it was deleted. Scan it again straight after, and it was there again.

After just trying what you suggested in your last post (i turned off system restore first) I scanned it again, and there were NO results.

YIPPEE
