I haven't been on MN for a couple of days so have just caught up with all the updates. Thoughts are with you Zombie and all that are close to you. I did say I would try and make a woolley square but have neglected it but this has made me more determined to practice and actually make a real one. Sweet dreams

I have just made a donation online to the Zombie's hospice directly. It was very easy - well set up site! It asked if it was in memory of someone (typed: ZOMBIE (CURRENT RESIDENT - NOT DECEASED!) and what my relationship was. I proudly typed: PHALANX MEMBER

who knows what will show up on my credit card bill

I'm only just chiming in as it felt almost like intruding on something.
I've seen zombie about the place for years and years now but the one thing that sticks in my mind is the time that someone (who after the event turned out to be a banned poster) wrote about the awful situation they were in and Zombie just jumped in her car, in the middle of the night, and drove to be with her. Mumsnet was chaos that night Crazy, but you could see it was done with a heart full of love and empathy.
I've personal experience with Severn hospice so I have no doubt you're in the best hands Zombie. Rest easy now.

Morning zombie, hope you had a peaceful night.

Will raise many a glass to you tonight as I turn 45 today. My mum was 56 when she died (the only one of the family not to die of bastarding cancer ) but as I get nearer her age, and older and wiser, I realise 56 is no age, there is no good age to die. Zombie, you're teaching us all how to have a good, dignified death and to laugh in the face of it. You're remarkable.

I'm so proud to be a tiny part of a community that no only comes together when needed but sticks together for as long as needed .

Still thinking of you zombie. I read the thread every day but don't often post (not sure why!). Probably because everyone seems to have a better use of words than me. But just wanted to pop on and say there are probably many like me thinking of you behind the scenes!
