Picked DS2 up, went to park, picked DD up, went to the Sainsbury's café, DS2 had fish fingers, mash and baked beans, DD had lasagne, I had a chicken salad sandwich as I didn't have lunch, they shared a double chocolate choux bun and a slice of Victoria sponge for pudding, back home, putting DS2 to bed, DD will follow.

A version of the dabbawala supply/delivery system would work for the cocktail ingredients as whitehandled suggested, smartly uniformed I would say.

Blackcurrent gin sounds lush. Never more have I regretted dry January.

Lovely photo Zombie. So cold today I had to get my woolly hat on to walk the dog. He spent 15 sodding minutes rampaging through gorse and wild rose bushes smelling for cats. He also left his ball in there so had to be sent back in to get it. Then he forgot why he had gone in and started looking for cats again! He cut his tail. When we got home after I washed it, he went into the flower bed, cut it open again and sprayed blood on his sides. Poor thing.

Oooh Jen - how's the blackcurrant gin? I'm thinking of making liquorice & blackcurrant gin at my tour thingy this weekend.

If not, maybe pear & thyme.

F'ing cold here so about to go to have hot steamy bath with, you guessed it, summer berry gin..
Gin on the lips is a great taste enhancer. I think I might have mentioned before that a small glass of cote de rhone goes well with morphine, no nightmares as can happen with spirits, limited acidity unlike whites, not too heavy. Induces a sense of comfort. I had to try several types before I got the right one, of course.

Hi everyone, I am afraid Zombie* has taken a very bad turn for the worst and is on a lot of morphine and unable to speak.

I've been by her side stroking and kissing her hair and forehead and she is smiling every now and again and doesn't seem to be in pain anymore. I have wished her sleep well and said goodbye for tonight. Sweet sweet dreams Candle I love you xxx*
