Moving to Cheshire area / Welsh border

We live in Southampton but are soon due to move to the West Cheshire area for husband's work. I have no idea where to start re decent areas, schools, property etc. We have two boys, aged 2 and 4 so the eldest will be starting school this Sep. Would be really grateful for any info covering any of the above!

Look at Ofsted reports online, schools' websites and telephone head teachers. If it's a good school it will be in a good area.

I live in S Cheshire, not West, but if you give some idea of the areas you are interesed in I could ask around for any info if you like.
