HELP - how to get biro off cream leather sofa?

HELP! DD has just drawn in blue biro on cream leather sofa - any ideas how to get it off? I've tried neat washing up liquid on a damp cloth to no avail. It's soft leather (and not my sofa either!)

can you try hairspray? This usually gets ink off other things

Try hand soap, the creamier the better, avoid how water as it will fix the scrible forever. By soft leather you mean Suede? if so forget about applying anything, hide it with a cushion and RUN!!!

Thank you mnetters! The hairspray worked a treat, hana although didn't remove totally. Will remember that one for future! Thankfully not suede, Chandra. LOL at the cushion trick - unfortunately wouldn't work as no doubt the beady eye of the letting agent would pick up the mark (not now though, hopefully!!) Thanks a lot.
