MY DH made some hot chocolate in a sauce pan on Sunday and managed to scald it to the pan. I've been scrubbing it and soaking it since then and I still can't get the stuff off the pan! Any ideas?

How about soaking in baking soda crystals and some hot water?

DH swears by biological washing powder. Put in pan with water and boil on the hob for a bit. Should wash off quite easily after that.

Unless it's aluminium, shut the kitchen door, open the window wide and boil some vinegar in the pan. After a couple of minutes scrape the residue off with a WOODEN spoon. Rinse out with boiling water and allow the pan to cool before washing normaly.

Codders, I'll try that next time I scramble eggs........did you see the video that they were promoting on how to cook the perfect boiled egg!

Someone told me a tip from the 'How Clean is Your House' is to boil some flat Coke in the pan.

Gosh, you lot are very knowledgable, thanks I'll try them out although personally I like Coddys idea of binning it and buying a new one!
