They did a very good job of tidying up after themselves. Who knows what they will get up to next though? Why not join us and find out?

Good morning all. Zombie hope you had another good nights sleep in your new bed. Do you still have some special medicinal help ? When is your cleaner going to come next ?
zombielad and zombielass welcome to MN, although those of us on one of Zombies previous threads did get to speak to zombielad once before when he first came over.
We from the phalanx really enjoyed your wedding, we dressed up and everything !!

UnbornMortificado · 12/01/2017 09:07

One early night and you miss all the excitement.

Hi Zkids massive congratulations on the wedding 💍

Wishing fidboy a speedy recovery.

Hope everyone's well and Zombie you have had a decent night.

BathshebaDarkstone · 12/01/2017 09:41

Fid it's my favourite phrase in German. You may not want to try it with FidBoy2's school though! Grin

Susiesoap7 · 12/01/2017 09:51

Welcome zlad and zlass 😘😘 thinks this calls for a party phalanx! Busby Berkeley style bbb, we can wind snakelike down a hill with zombie in the lead, we need a good song to sing at the same time, any suggestions? Ps don't forget your knitting lol 😂

UnbornMortificado · 12/01/2017 09:52

I've just received an email.

I passed the care job interview and I've got a conditional job offer Smile

I was a bit worried I'd just chatted a load of shite for the 45 minute interview.

Thank you for the words of encouragement

Mummylin · 12/01/2017 09:55

I am impatient to get started with my squares but my wool hasn't arrived yet. I have so much wool of my own but none of it is what is required for these blankets. I haven't done any crochet for at least 6 yrs !! Hope I haven't forgotten.

Susiesoap7 · 12/01/2017 09:55

Well done unborn 🤗🤗🤗

BathshebaDarkstone · 12/01/2017 09:55

Yay Unborn! Star

Mummylin · 12/01/2017 09:56

Well done unborn hope it all works out well for you.

Somerville · 12/01/2017 09:57

That's great news, Unborn! Well done!

Roses Remind DD that coming to Oxford isn't a one time thing. if she goes to one of those great universities she has offers from and gets a first, she can probably sail into a masters or D.Phil here, if she wants to at that point.

IamtheZombie · 12/01/2017 11:16

Morning all.

Interesting night trying to sleep. Tinkerbelle finally worked out that Mummy was lying down on a bed and decided to join her. To be fair to Tinks, she wasn't quite as boisterous as she usually is but it was still extremely disruptive. After about an hour she eventually curled up at the foot of the bed and went to sleep. That was fine until I wanted to move from my side to my back. There wasn't room for 2 feet + cat. I tried elevating the foot of the bed but Tinks slept through that. I tried lowering the foot of the bed. Tinks stayed asleep. I finally had to nudge her off the bed. She was not amused and wandered off to throw a few dustbin lids around.

I should be receiving a few parcels in the next few days. I had very little in the way of linens for a single bed so I went on the Dunelm website and remedied that. Soon I will have a new mattress protector and duvet, 3 fitted sheets, 3 duvet covers and 3 pillowcases. Retail therapy at its best.

Oh, I nearly forgot Maisie's contribution to the interesting night. She had a 20 minute growl off with must have been another cat sitting on the outside window sill.

So Tink likes your new bed even more than you do Grin

Glad you've indulged in a bit of retail therapy. I hope Dunelm sell sheets that are 100% cotton with a high thread count as they will be the softest. And whatever you ordered, remember to get your cleaner to wash them for you before you start sleeping on them, as advised with new bedding. I think I remember that your skin has been very sensitive and it might react to the remnant of manufacturing chemicals.

I have a new bedding anecdote that make you smile. Mr Somer had a birthday soon after we got together. I had trouble thinking of a present until (I thought) he texted helpfully hinting at something.
On telling my sister: "He mentioned in a text the lovely soft sheets on my bed so I've ordered him the same brand with a really HTC" she nearly wet herself laughing.
"He was hinting that he wants another invitation to get in your bed you fucking twat! Not that he wants new linen for his birthday!"
Blush

Goingtobeawesome · 12/01/2017 12:18

I remember that Somerville!! Grin.

Somerville · 12/01/2017 12:25

Did I tell you that he had hinted he wanted sheets like mine and if so, why didn't you tell me I was being as thick as shit?!

So embarrassing.

Oh well, he brought them to my house so at least I have a third set of the sheets I like now. Even if he was quite Hmm Confused over getting a full airing cupboard for his birthday rather than an invitation to sleep over!

Goingtobeawesome · 12/01/2017 12:29

I missed it might have been a hint to get in your bed again! Not as dirty minded as we know your sister is.. remember her text when you said you'd met someone?!?

Sent you a PM, btw.

Somerville · 12/01/2017 12:34

She's terrible. She was dating a close friend of his off and on and has basically broken the friends heart which made for slightly awkward seating arrangements at wedding. Grrr. But she's having the kids for a sleepover this weekend the only sister I've got so I mustn't moan about her.

JaneAustinAllegro · 12/01/2017 12:36

Since the Zombie Kids have joined the invasion, this article from Forbes magazine last week might be of interest - epidemiologists have calculated that 100 days following a zombie invasion, only 181 people in the world will be uninfected. There were some other news stories around the report and the guiding advice was that zombies have a very short attention span so if you can remain very still and silent, they will quickly wander off and infect someone else. www.forbes.com/sites/kevinmurnane/2017/01/08/guess-how-many-people-will-survive-a-zombie-apocalypse/#4cab37a959be

cozietoesie · 12/01/2017 12:38

....and wandered off to throw a few dustbin lids around....Grin

Welcome again, Zlass - and felicitations on your recent marriage. Smile

Goingtobeawesome · 12/01/2017 13:11

Sad. That's a shame about the friend. Is he okay?

Somerville · 12/01/2017 13:42

The friend will be fine, I'm sure.
She did tell him she only wanted a bit of fun, but he decided he'd fallen in love and then was "devastated" that she hadn't too. Hmm Bloody men.

And hopefully Mr Somer has learned to listen to me! I told him right at the start not to introduce her to his friends.

Zombie I missed you mention of a growl off. Grin I didn't know cats have those too.
I was kept awake last night by my dog having yet another dog bark-off with the muntjac (dwarf deer with an incredibly loud bark that belies its size) that invades my garden.

Susiesoap7 · 12/01/2017 14:25

My wool has arrived!! But how am I going to knit if I have to be still and silent to avoid the zombie invasion according to Jane Austin! 😂😂

UnbornMortificado · 12/01/2017 15:04

Poor MrSomer Grin

Cats are bastards and I say that as a cat lover (currently on the cat topic about saying bye to 2 of my mams)

Pleased your semi rested at least Zombie.

Thank you, you lot. You should see how proud my mam and DD1 are, you'd think I'd been declared ruler of the world.

marriednotdead · 12/01/2017 15:39

Lovely to see Zombie newly weds here

Hopefully the Zombiefootwarmers will learn not to disturb mummy while she's trying to get comfy. Throwing dustbin lids around Grin Sounds like something my PA exh would do... God I miss him. Said nobody ever.

Somer, your innocence has made me giggle Grin

Well done Unborn, that's brilliant! Don't underestimate the value of being able to talk shite. Many people in a care setting are lonely and really appreciate cheery chatter.

BBB alluded to my job earlier- I'm a bra fitter when I'm not having fun making cakes. The bigger the better is my specialism Grin

Thinking hard about knitting, not made anything since doing a cardi for DGS. Got a how to crochet book for Christmas too. Hmm.

UnbornMortificado · 12/01/2017 17:01

Married ta I'll admit I was curious as to what job it was!
