They did a very good job of tidying up after themselves. Who knows what they will get up to next though? Why not join us and find out?

Aw, keep trying rachelshair, unravel it and have another crack, woolly hugs absolutely relies on people like you doing things like this.

You've brought tears to my eyes, please keep trying, the point is that there will be love in every stitch.
That's all that matters.

ExitPursuedBySpartacus · 11/01/2017 23:53

Nothing is going to get me knitting.

I am quite good at buying wool.

cozietoesie · 12/01/2017 00:07

We used to have to knit socks at school.

Heels were always my downfall. Grin

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 12/01/2017 00:19

I'm chuffed if I get a square square.

Heels?

Fuck. That.

cozietoesie · 12/01/2017 00:32

I had a little Indian girl in my class at primary school and while we were embroidering tray cloth things with great muckle stitches of large cotton thread, she was embroidering fine lawn and counting the threads to know where to place her very fine needle. She looked on us all with great contempt.

I know my place these days. Wink

AcrossthePond55 · 12/01/2017 01:53

BBW I'm hoiking up my big girl pants and joining the Phalanx to protect the Zombies!! I am unafraid. I am brave. I will be the madness in your method!

ZombieLass · 12/01/2017 02:39

So happy to be here! Nice to finally meet all you fabulous people😍

LineyReborn · 12/01/2017 02:49

Hello hello! Nice to meet you, ZombieLass. I am in the UK but don't sleep so well a lot of nights.

Fiderer · 12/01/2017 03:30

How lovely to see ZLad & ZLass here.

No idea what's happened to my sleep pattern. Got to rouse the Fidlets in 2 hours. FidBoy2 hopeless at snow shovelling duty. Fell down the stairs and twisted his knee. Has had the erroneous idea since a baby that he's Spiderman.

Am seeing Cuban guitar teacher today. Not sure if I want any more rumba lessons though.

Comfy zzzzzs Z

(Bloody faff typing on Kindle - how on earth do people manage on tiny phone?)

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 12/01/2017 03:39

Congratulations ZombieLad and ZombieLass on your marriage!

It was quite the party here WinkFlowers

BathshebaDarkstone · 12/01/2017 04:18

Morning! Drinking coffee, watching BBC world news.

Morning ZKids! It's lovely to have you in the Phalanx!

Fiderer · 12/01/2017 04:36

Also ( have given up on going back to sleep) the Kindle won't let me have music from YouTube in one tab & MN/anything in another.

So I tried Amazon music. First time. Gave me all sorts of horrors. Some the children listen to - bad enough but also "Deutsche Pop" which sounds like something you see the doctor about & get cream for.

Am giving up & joining Bath watching the BBC news channel - budge up & put the kettle on (Baldrick)

LineyReborn · 12/01/2017 04:42

I've been awake since midnight. A whole two hours sleep I had. I've been writing up an article on my laptop and heard next door arguing about him still being on his x box at 4am Shock He's a working guy in his thirties.

Fiderer · 12/01/2017 04:47

Blimey Liney Can you sleep later?

LineyReborn · 12/01/2017 04:51

Yes, Fid, I've already done this morning's work! I'll get DS off to college and get my head down.

X box guy next door is still playing - I can hear his little occasional plaintive gaming cries from their living room. I reckon his wife will be on Relationships by next week.

whitehandledkitchenknife · 12/01/2017 06:38

Morning all. Congratulations Zlets and hope you didn't mind us all having a fabulous party on your behalf! Lovely to see you here.
I woke naturally this morning, after an unbroken night's sleep, which is a complete rarity in these here parts. I hope those struggling with their slumber get a chance for some kip later on.
I got a Kindle for Christmas Fid. Not sure I want to check out Deutsche Pop. With or without cream.
And let's all hope that Xbox guy isn't in charge of any important today, like lorry driving or brain surgery.

BathshebaDarkstone · 12/01/2017 07:00

Tea or coffee Mr B Fid? Brew

Fiderer · 12/01/2017 07:10

Tea please Bath. Tvm.

I do love my Kindle, have had various ones over the years, the children all have one. V much enjoy listening to Audible on it, v practical. Just find typing so much faster & easier on the laptop.

Am steeling self to call FidBoy2's school & call him in sick as he still can't walk. They're v friendly but it's v early & despite having been here for fucking decades, my brain needs an extra impulse to function in German when tired. I've been awake since 3am.

stillwantrachelshair · 12/01/2017 07:18

There may be more frustration & confusion in each stitch than love at the moment! However, I am generally very determined stubborn so I am sure I will soon be one of those people whose needles whirr without them having to look at what they are doing.
I hope you had a good night Zombie.
What is the snow forecast in your area?

BathshebaDarkstone · 12/01/2017 07:33

There you go Fid Brew Ich bin ein hubscrauber. Grin

Fiderer · 12/01/2017 07:54

Thanks for the tea Bath.

Are you really? Poor you, mind your blades Hmm Sure that's just coffee you're on? Grin

Am struggling to stay awake & have a meeting with parents of a new student later. Not sure me hallucinating from sleep deprivation & quoting Blackadder at them in English will be helpful.

HerRoyalFattyness · 12/01/2017 08:58

Hi there, nice to meet you both.

bookbook · 12/01/2017 09:01

Morning!
Brew all round for all you . It looks like some of you have done half a days work already , and here is me lolling around with a lazy breakfast.
Hope you had a good night z

Fiderer - twisted knees = pain - been there, done that. Have you got a good knee brace for him? So no more snow shovelling either ...Many sympathies on small keyboards - I really don't like the fact that you have to usher up the keyboard. I spent 20 years on a great big computer , with a keyboard ,( and mouse at first! ) , and even when they were updated to laptops , it has a nice big keyboard - so no touch screen will do it for me :)
stillwant - you are being great - knitting is not that easy. I tried to teach my DD when she was young, it never stuck. But she is suddenly , at a grand age of 35 , is loving and learning crotchet. (She has popped on the other thread :)

bookbook · 12/01/2017 09:02

poor asterisk deployment there ... so much for old brain
