They did a very good job of tidying up after themselves. Who knows what they will get up to next though? Why not join us and find out?

Zombie You must be so thrilled with the brilliant success Candy's Hugs is having, what a wonderful project you've created.
Hope you have managed to get something to eat today? How are you doing with those drinks they gave you to try, are you able to take them?

Well done with those squares Susie fab colours! There must be lots on YooToob that will help you with starting off crochet.

Flowers

Have lurked forever. Thinking of you.

Allalonenow · 19/01/2017 17:26

Oh excellent news about the cats, the people who run the rescue centres are so kind and dedicated.

Butterymuffin · 19/01/2017 17:26

Good news on the steroids. Hope they do their job quickly. And good for the Zombiecats to have a place to go - give them as much fuss as you can from all of us in the meantime, and let's hope a permanent home can be found for them. Bless your ILs. Rest and get some strength back. FlowersCake

Hushabyelullaby · 19/01/2017 17:30

i'm another one coming on to say Hi and that I follow your story. You're a wonderfully, funny, lovely lady Zombie. Hope you get some pain free rest soon, and fingers crossed you get some appetite x

Goingtobeawesome · 19/01/2017 17:31

I rarely post as don't want to intrude but I do think of you often, Zombie. And your cats. Follow cat lover with loads of pets.

cozietoesie · 19/01/2017 17:33

I had been wondering just how much even reading the threads - let alone posting - was taking out of you. No need for lengthy updates in future, I think?

Fiderer · 19/01/2017 17:40

Fingers crossed here for you too, lovely Z and huzzah for SIL & BIL.

Malcolm Can recommend the beer & the wine is v underrated & dead cheap. Am a particular fan of the sparkling wine. When I had FidBoy1 & was struggling with bf the midwife who came to check up on me at home recommended drinking a glass or two to help with let-down. Can't imagine that happening in England Grin

Hearts Yes, I am. I do make mistakes though esp when tired & I find the first days back here tricksy. But I switch between the 2 easily enough. The 40,000 forms I had to do for the divorce were a pain but for Germans too when I asked for help. I can moan at officialdom so that's enough for me.

I do school admin & teaching. The students mimic me - "I don't care" is a favourite when someone gripes about something exaggerated & obv made up. One lovely boy was in my English club when his club was cancelled & has taken to telling me every day he wants to switch to it & giving me hugs Grin

Glad you were able to check in zombie, we worry about you when we don't hear anything.pleased the cats have found a home but you must miss them, at the same time it must have been hard for you just to feed them when you are feeling bad. Hope the steroids work soon so you can have something to eat and maybe feel a little stronger.. Thinking of you xx 🌺🌸🌺🌸

HerRoyalFattyness · 19/01/2017 18:30

I hope the steroids help you zombie Flowers

BathshebaDarkstone · 19/01/2017 18:38

A road trip to Germany sounds like a plan! Grin

UnbornMortificado · 19/01/2017 18:46

Fids are most people in Germany extra efficient and organised?

A family member lived there and said although retail staff and whatnot never seemed to smile, they certainly got things done.

(Don't know if that's just a massive generalisation I've never been)

Zombie pleased your packed ready. Offer is always there if you need help. Really hope there is a space soon for you Flowers

cozietoesie · 19/01/2017 18:52

I recall a former colleague, many years ago, talking about going for a forest hike in Germany with some local friends. They came to a clearing with an 'activity' in the middle of it and he was going to walk on by. (The hiking being quite enough for him.) His German friends nearly had apoplexy at this cavalier attitude - and all, religiously, did the 'activity'.

That tale has always charmed me.

BathshebaDarkstone · 19/01/2017 19:14

Good news re the hospice and the rescue centre Zomb

I think we should do the German road trip anyway! Grin

UnbornMortificado · 19/01/2017 19:44

I've heard tales of retail assistants give wrapping everything...

I shall be designated driver. I'm sure a coach is just the same to drive as a micra.

fruitbats · 19/01/2017 19:45

I'm glad that something has been sorted for the cats. It must be upsetting but one less thing to prey on your mind. I hope the steroids kick in so you can regain a bit of appetite. Thanks

mrsBeverleygoldberg · 19/01/2017 20:05

Zombie, you are so brave. I wish I could take your cats, but I have 3 already and the dog. The cat we got last was a rescue. Our neighbour was arrested and they had a cat. So we took him in. He is adorable. The one before that was a stray!
The puppy was good today with regard to rolling in stuff during his walk. It was still -4, and frosty. The pond was frozen and another little dog came over and broke the ice on the edge. This gave my boy confidence to go closer. He's not keen on ice as he dropped his ball on the edge of the iced up pond a few weeks ago and it rolled to the centre. He looked at me like go on mummy, go get it!
I hope the steroids do their job and you get more satisfactory pain relief. Flowers

Fiderer · 19/01/2017 20:11

Well living in a wine village am v happy to host the Phalanx. And bizarrely the friendly shop lot here seem to know that I want gin when I ding the dong for someone to unlock the alcohol bit. Wonder why?

Fids are most people in Germany extra efficient and organised? No. Not at all. It's a myth. But in these parts they are on the whole v friendly & helpful & I value that more.

Hugs for Z

MrsMozart · 19/01/2017 20:13

Good news about the sil and bil. Well done. Did you get chance to speak to the GP about having someone come in to do meals for you?

I hope you get to sleep well tonight and that the pain bobs right off.

Susiesoap7 · 19/01/2017 21:04

Is the cruise cancelled in favour of the road trip to Germany? Hope fid has enough bedrooms for us all, and we can't go without zombie and the tiara!! And the knitting n crochet 😳

BathshebaDarkstone · 19/01/2017 21:12

We should have a vote. I vote for Germany.

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 19/01/2017 21:13

Zombie I am keeping everything crossed very, very tightly that the steroids start to have some effect as soon as possible. I'm so glad your BIL and SIL were able to help you pack so that it's all systems go as soon as a place is found. Wishing you a peaceful and comfortable night xxx

Susiesoap7 · 19/01/2017 21:15

Let the voting commence! 🚦🚦🚦

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 19/01/2017 21:15

Germany sounds good to me, although after the day I've had with my nearly 2-year old (who has discovered the word 'no' and is relishing using it gleefully at any and all opportunities), I fear I may just drink it dry!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 19/01/2017 21:22

Germany is very near and dear to my heart, have spent a lot of time there and my best friend is German but even I recognise that it must be challenging to live there full time. My German gets a million times better after a couple of drinks Grin
