They did a very good job of tidying up after themselves. Who knows what they will get up to next though? Why not join us and find out?

Adding to the thoughts and prayers of the entire Phalanx and all the lurkers, not to mention all your hundreds of FB friends, for a hospice bed, a break from the pain, a wonderful new home for the Zombiecats and a return of appetite.

Sorry to hear you're in pain Zombie (delurking but posted before under diff name ;-))

What a selfless decision about the Zombiecats.

Hope the hospice comes through very quickly.

Soup is good. Would come and heat some up for you but alas I am up in Yorkshire. Healing thoughts being sent your way Flowers

Morning! Drinking coffee and watching BBC world news. Brew

I hope Zombie's having a lovely, painfree sleep. Flowers

Morning Zombie. Just thought I'd send my love. Flowers Fingers crossed for a more comfortable day today and hoping the hospice find you a place asap.

UnbornMortificado · 19/01/2017 09:34

Morning Zombie, hope last night was comfortable and you get some news from the hospice today. All my love Flowers

bookbook · 19/01/2017 09:53

hope you are comfortable today Flowers
thinking of you as I pop out to post off some candy hug squares to WH.
Having my hair cut afterwards, so I will look less as if I have been dragged through a hedge backwards :)

magimedi · 19/01/2017 09:59

Sending my love & hoping a hospice bed comes up for you soon.

cozietoesie · 19/01/2017 10:04

That would be excellent, AtSea. If you can manage it. Smile

BathshebaDarkstone · 19/01/2017 10:12

It's a shame that the Zcats can't live with Fid. Forever home for Zcats and RatHell™ for the rat. Grin

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 19/01/2017 10:30

Morning all!

Zombie, I thought of you as soon as I woke up this morning and hope that you managed to get some rest and aren't in too much pain.

Excellent idea, Bath, re the cats and Fid - kills two birds (or rats!) with one stone let's hope there's not more than one rat.

Yes but isn't Germany a bit far for the poor darlings to travel? Hmm

SpiralArchitect · 19/01/2017 11:11

Much love to you, Zombie, and hope you hear from the hospice soon. Flowers

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 19/01/2017 11:19

How about a road trip to Germany? We could sample some of the local specialities whilst we're there?! 🍺🍻🇩🇪

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 19/01/2017 11:26

Zombie, my lovely, I really hope they have a bed for you soon and the move goes smoothly. Of all people Zombie deserves no pain.

Hopefully they will be able to set you up with a hammock-type arrangement with drinks on tap, no horses and complete comfort. With room for all the phalanx too.

❤️

RockyBird · 19/01/2017 11:36

Hopefully they have a space today. Big purrs to the zcats.

Somerville · 19/01/2017 11:40

Just saying hi and that I'm still thinking of you, Zombie dearest. Flowers

Sittingunderafrostysky · 19/01/2017 12:05

I woke in the night, and found I was the thinking of you, Zombie hoping that you were having a restful sleep.

I'm spending an hour each evening watching BBC 4 documentaries on iplayer, whilst knitting colourful Candy Hug squares. Taking me away from mumsnet, but very calming. Smile

cozietoesie · 19/01/2017 12:33

Well done for those colourful squares, Sitting. Smile

Susiesoap7 · 19/01/2017 16:32

3 squares done!

Zombie has her hospital bed so the Phalanx had a sleep over.
Susiesoap7 · 19/01/2017 16:33

I'm excited I've posted my first pic lol 😂

Fiderer · 19/01/2017 16:43

Grin Susie Good going. I started but had to, er, umm, restart a couple of times. Tis slow going...

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 19/01/2017 16:48

Right. Susie you have inspired me! This is the weekend I learn how to crochet. DD2 is going to teach me. They have a day off tomorrow - no long school breaks and no real half terms here, but we get a long weekend / bank holiday every month. Also helps with the fact that you get so few vacation days here (Canada).

Zombie I hope you are ok today and your bag is all packed and ready to go.

They better have wifi at the hospice!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 19/01/2017 16:49

Fids are you completely fluent in German? Like at work and everything?

Susiesoap7 · 19/01/2017 16:54

I'm trying to remember how to crochet! I know I can but have been looking on YouTube for videos. I crocheted a minidress in the sixties and went dancing in it! Come on brain get your act together!!!!

IamtheZombie · 19/01/2017 17:19

Huge thanks to my SIL and BIL for riding to my rescue and getting the majority of hospice case packing done. It's a huge weight off my shoulders.

I had a disturbed night. Until about 06.00 when I fell asleep. I was woken at just before 10.00 by a call from my cat lady. She has found a good rescue centre and will be taking the cats there on Saturday.

I then fell asleep again and only woke up around 13.30. I've had all my meds. I had my first dose of steroids. In addition to stimulating my appetite, they should also ease the inflamation around my liver (which is a large contributor to my pain). It's only been a few hours so too early to tell how much of a difference they will make, but fingers crossed.

Typing this has worn me out so that's all for now.
