Trying to say something helpful but my mind is a blank, just remember we are all there with you in spirit zombie, in fact we have cakes, tea and every kind of comfort food you could think off to make you strong. Hope the room isn't too crowded, if it is we can get under the bed xx 🌸🌸

The company might be nice for you, I've never been in a hospice just a "special" hospital but it was nice to meet other people who had similar issues to me. I also met DH which was quite frowned upon.

Meeting people who can relate to how your feeling might help with the loneliness

Hopefully they can get more help for you - more hours for Lovely Cleaning Lady would be great, then she could get some shopping in & any errands you don't feel like doing. Maybe even drve you to your appointments etc.

I am glad the hospice nurse will come and visit you tomorrow - IME palliative care specialist nurses are rather marvellous creatures. A respite stay at the hospice to get optimum symptom control sounds ideal; I hope that can happen soon for your

Good news about the cattery so the ZombieCats will be well taken care of. And if the hospice is like a hotel with fab drugs as Sleeping 's friend found, then you can be well taken care of too

Sorry to hear about this bad patch but if the hospice can get the pain under control and look after you for a few days so you don't use your energy looking after you, that would be great.

Hello Zombie, hello Phalanx! (Just realised I didn't actually know how to spell Phalanx until it was autocorrected for me! 😳)

Anyway, I have been a lurker on all of your threads and for some reason have always felt like I didn't have anything interesting or useful to say, so haven't posted! I still don't, really, but I thought I should delurk and add my moral support - although the Phalanx definitely have that covered!

Really sorry that things are a bit shit at the moment, Zombie. I think the respite in the hospice sounds like a great idea. They can give you lots of support, both from the physical pain but also emotionally. Thinking of you and hoping they come back to you soon.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone. Is the trip to Iceland still on? I've always wanted to go!!!

I was a little frightened at first as I could only find vacuum packed chicken feet. A large range of flavours though. Then I found some Lays crisps that come in a tube like Pringles, their flavour is 'Finger Licking Braised Pork Flavour'. They do indeed taste just like pork belly at a dim sum restaurant.

The staff here are very nice, as was the cabin crew. And they're all so glamorous.

Bath are you Chinese? Can you tell me what snacks to buy?

Buy some Chinese sweets, they are nothing like European sweets. Also buy rice wine, a bit like sherry.
Have they got any nice silk items there?
